We went to Chutney Masala for dinner recently and it was absolutely delicious. We went a little overboard and ordered 4 appetizers and 2 entrees and everything was delicious. The restaurant itself is very nice. I will say, they didn’t have the lights dim at all, so it was quite bright in there, which kind of took away from the date night ambience of it. That being said, they clearly do a lot of take out orders and that might be part of why they have the lights up brighter. The staff was friendly enough. This is definitely a place where they are not trying to get done and out the door quickly. If you are on a time crunch, either choose somewhere else or let them know in advance. They encourage ordering the courses one at a time (ie they’ll come back for your order for mains) and they do not hover at all. There is overall a lack of attentiveness, but it really has more to do with them leaving you to enjoy your meal than not wanting to help. We got the avocado paapdi chat. I have never had anything like this at an Indian restaurant. It was incredibly refreshing, which was surprising because Indian food tends to be heavier and more hearty. Absolutely recommend. We also go the tikki trio, the paneer Kati rolls (my favorite appetizer we got), and the lamb samosas. The lamb samosas were the only thing that didn’t absolutely blow us away. They were perfectly nice, but the other dishes were awesome. We then got the Dal Tadka and the chicken saagwala and some garlic naan. The dal was great. Had almost of a stew/soup consistency, but I could have eaten it for days (and then I used the leftovers for a kind of indian/lentil shakshuka, so I was super happy to have leftovers). The chicken was perfectly cooked. Super tender and juicy and the saag was so smooth and flavorful. Overall, would absolutely come back. The prices are also incredibly reasonable. Definitely worth a visit

Sooo yummy best indian food ever so authentic my fav. naan is exceptional but a tad small and the meat dishes are thoughtfully crafted and flavorful. nice variety as well including many vegan and vegetarian options.
I ate here a couple nights ago for Diwali, and wanted to leave a review because my experience was lovely. To start off, the hostess greeted us and immediately sat us. She also ended up taking our order since the other waiters were busy. We bothered her with many questions about the different dishes which she happily answered! The food then came quickly and it was DELICIOUS. The service was great, they gave us complimentary dessert for Diwali, and they thanked us profusely when leaving. I liked the atmosphere and overall, highly recommend the restaurant!
Since they were located in the parking lot at Irvington, Chutney Masala has been our one and only “go to” Indian fare restaurant. Food and service has ALWAYS been 100%. Thank you for the consistent deliciousness! See you again.
Traveling north to Irvington, my party of 5 enjoyed an early dinner. This is a Northern Indian cuisine filled aromatic classic dishes to excite every palate.
Amazing, friendly and unforgettable experience!! Every time I come here for lunch the experience and hospitality is beyond words!!! Such an amazing staff and the food is so fresh and tasty!! Chef Navjot is so talented and you can tell he makes the food with love. I would recommend anyone in the tri-state area to come and try his amazing food. Indian food is different and unique from any cuisine. It has so many flavors and spices that you won't find in any food. The Mango Lassi is a must have for any customer as well. My favorite dish here is the the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chicken.
What's Good Here? - MAHARAJA THALI - that's whats good! Chutney Masala Indian Bistro – 76 Main St, Irvington, NY 10533 MAHARAJA THALI – This is the move. A full spread, no weak links. Curries hit deep, naan’s on point, Rich, bold, balanced. Place has a good feel—warm, not trying too hard. Service is solid. My only wish is if they had off street parking, but that's me. If you want Indian done right, this is what’s good here. -WGH
They were so kind. We celebrated our last day of school/graduation and they were able to keep the cake (from a different store) in the back. The food was AMAZING!!
